Shinhwa Korean Steakhouse was founded in 2022 with a clear mission: to bring the authentic flavors of Korean barbecue and hot pot to a modern American dining audience—delivered with style, innovation, and hospitality.
Established in Roseville, Minnesota, by a team of passionate Korean-American entrepreneurs and culinary professionals, Shinhwa quickly became a go-to destination for premium all-you-can-eat Korean cuisine. The founders wanted to create more than just a restaurant—they envisioned a place where culture, family, and flavor come together around the grill.
The name “Shinhwa” (신화) means “legend” in Korean—a word chosen to reflect the restaurant’s commitment to honoring Korean culinary heritage while creating legendary dining experiences.
In just a few years, our growth has taken us from Roseville to Chinatown, Chicago, where our second location opened in 2024. Yet our mission remains unchanged:
